US Air Force ‘Shades of Blue’ Jazz Ensemble - 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. The “Shades of Blue” is a 15-piece big band, performing swing, bebop, modern jazz, and American patriotic music. It is comprised of Active Duty Air Force musicians from Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Jazz vocalist Staff Sergeant Albert Williams will be highlighted throughout the concert, and always pays tribute to its heritage with the crowd-pleasing music of Major Glenn Miller. Celebrate the Fourth - 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. The festivities will begin with a Pancake Breakfast ($5/plate supplied by Chris Cakes). Other activities throughout the day will include: climbing wall, kiddie ferris wheel, chinook helicopter display, Miller-Marley Minitainers, children’s parade, KC Wolf, family creativity center, petting zoo and pony rides, puppet show, magician, clowns and face painters, inflatable slides and obstacle courses, displays and demonstrations by police, public works, and fire district #2. Poetry in Motion - 10:15 a.m.–11 a.m. Engage your imagination in this rhythmic and rhyming program celebrating the uniqueness and creativity of poetry. Jo Ho presents a very fresh and funny approach to poetry as she invites listeners to chime in and move to the beat of words with pizzazz. All ages. Seating is limited. Registration is not necessary.

So Many Circles - 6 p.m. Drop in for a fun filled library visit. Early literacy activities, and a simple craft for ages 2–4 and an adult. Siblings welcome. Please allow 30 minutes. Registration is not necessary.
