Kids who want to have a fun and unique experience this summer need to check out the following list of Kansas City’s finest summer camps. Choosing a camp that is right for your child can help build fond memories that will last a lifetime. So here are a few tips to guide you through the picking and preparing process to help your child enjoy their summer camp experience.
First, allow your child to be a part of the decision-making process. Research has shown that kids who are involved have less of a chance of being homesick. Next, be sure that the camp offers a variety of activities to keep your child entertained and interested, and keep in mind the camp that you choose should match your child’s interests (not the parent’s interests). Find out if there are medical facilities and/or personnel available in case of an emergency. How far is the nearest hospital? Call and ask about the type of equipment available at the camp. If your child is interested in a computer camp, the camp should have the latest technology and software available. Find out the staff to camper ratio.
